As a person who’s had a fair share of interviews in the past couple of years, I totally agree with the advice. Especially when it comes to preparing in advance. I can also add that when you go to a sufficient amount of interviews you start to develop a nice plethora of answers that really correspond to your opinions and goals, but are just well constructed and make a good impression. The best way to prepare is just to practice as much as possible at every opportunity.
